Recently Concluded VIP Sustainability Event By Fashion 4 Development Hosted A Galaxy of Top Influencers in the Fashion and Lifestyle Industry

The successful mega-event that concluded on October 21st, was attended by renowned names in the fashion and lifestyle industry. The event is already generating a lot of buzz in the media and in the fashion circles.

NEW YORK, NY, USA – Fashion 4 Development and C.L.A.S.S. Eco Hub recently concluded their “ReClothe” launch at the gala event on October 21st at The Pierre Hotel, New York City. The mega-show was organized to launch and promote their two key initiatives – the digital platform called “The ReClothe” and LINEAPELLE’s presentation “A NEW POINT OF MATERIALS”. The event witnessed the presence of international UN ambassadors, VIPs, fashion industry leaders, political influencers, diplomats, and prominent climate change spokespeople.

The highly anticipated event was attended by over 60 prominent guests including the President of the United Nations General Assembly, Abdulla Shahid, Italy’s Ambassador to the UN, Maurizio Massari, Anthony Scaramucci, UNFPA Deputy Executive Director Diene Keita, Emanne Beasha, Harold O’Neal, Prada Group’s Marcelo Noschese, Peter Dupont and Breanna Box, Honorable Sherri Goodman and photographer Steven Klein.

Also present at the event were several influential guests from the world’s top fashion houses, including Prada Group’s CEO of the Americas, Marcelo Noschese, and Ferragamo’s US CFO Lorenzo Velardo.

Dr. Sweta Chakraborty interviewed some of the VIP guests on the green carpet. The event saw representation from multiple sectors including finance, education, food, in addition to fashion and lifestyle.

Evie Evangelou, who was the emcee for the banquet event in the evening, welcomed the guests on behalf of the organizers. She gave a brief introduction about the objective of the event and shared the agenda for the rest of the evening. She also made a brief presentation on sustainable living issues, circular economy, and the official launch of the global campaign “Sustainable Living is the New Fashion.”

The event started off with a warm welcome to Maurizio Massari, Ambassador to the United Nations. The event highlighted the importance of Italy’s participation in the UN’s activities on the growing commitment and contribution to the pursuance of sustainability objectives.

Speaking on the occasion, Maurizio said: “The achievement of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals can only be possible if Governments and Institutions build credible partnerships with the civil society, the private sector, the young leaders, and all the other social and economic forces of our societies. It also starts with our personal engagement as individuals. Italy, in partnering up with the United Nations for the implementation of the 2030 Agenda, adopts a whole-of-society approach to make every stakeholder accountable.”

The banquet opened with a video featuring artist Milla Bubliy and was followed by a video about ocean pollution. Renowned photographer Fadil Berisha and artist Milla Bubliy showcased their collaboration, Phoenix, in the form of an art projection.

In a video message, Fulvia Bacchi, CEO of UNIC Italian Tanning Association and Lineapelle, said “The Italian tannery industry is strongly committed towards the SDGs by United Nations. It’s a commitment born from heritage and truly expressed by two premium projects. ‘A New Point of Materials by Lineapelle’, the exhibition of selected responsible and innovative materials, presented at Lineapelle and then at the Italian Cultural Institute of NY, and the support of the restoration of the tannery in the Pompei site.”

Stephanie Dillon, an artist who founded Citizen T, presented unique hand-painted jackets and recycled tees made in collaboration with Burnett New York and inspired by UN’s urgent commentary, ‘Code Red for Humanity’, and dangerous conditions around climate change.

Guests got a chance to learn about sustainable products and technologies, as they witnessed new sustainable fashion collections by Burnett New York, in addition to Linea Pelle’s “A New Point of Materials”, and ReClothe.
