Laser Wellness Clinic is providing the cutting-edge PRF (Platelet Rich Fibrin) Therapy which is an advanced version of PRP and offers more effective results.

Canada – June 09, 2022 – After offering PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) therapy for many years, Laser Wellness is pleased to announce that they are now offering the next-gen PRP therapy, the more advanced PRF (Platelet Rich Fibrin) Therapy. The PRF therapy has proven to be extremely effective in improving various skin conditions, hair loss problems.

PRP or Platelet-Rich-Plasma helps to induce healing when injected to treated areas. It’s to note here, the plasma part of the blood is enriched with powerful proteins that not only helps with blood clotting but also with improved cell growth. When PRP is injected into damaged tissue, it stimulates production of healthy new cells that eventually induces a healing response. In other words, PRP carries highly concentrated growth factors that assure faster healing of tissues.

PRF offers a more elevated experience than that is achieved with PRP.

“Although PRP and PRF are both taken from blood and share many similarities, the PRF version is more advanced and hence more efficient. One of the major differences between the two is that, with PRF, blood is spun at a lower speed than that at with PRP. Slow spinning ensures that the blood layers do not separate out as prominently as in PRP, making the PRF process more beneficial. Thanks to lower speed, in PRF, the final product can retain fibrin, stem cells, and white blood cells. Fibrin is a strong protein and a large source of autologous cytokines and growth factors. These factors make PRF a more effective treatment option compared to PRP today”, stated the leading spokesperson from Laser Wellness.

“Higher density of stem cells and growth factors leads to more hair regrowth and more improved skin treatment compared to PRP.”

The spokesperson also shared that as PRP is spun at high speed, the process tends to leave out a good lot of platelets. On the other hand, since PRF involves slow spinning, the process assures around 10x more platelets than what is found in the body. The bottom line is – PRF carries more healing factors compared to its predecessor (PRP) and hence can assure better and faster healing. Besides, low spin speed causes less stress to blood cells, thereby enabling more stem cells to remain in the final PRF stage.

Another key difference between PRP and PRF is that, unlike the former, the newer option does not use anticoagulants in PRF tubes. It helps to convert the natural fibrinogen within the blood fibrin by thrombin in the initial stages of clot formation. The process results in the development of a spongy fibrin matrix that activates the platelets, enabling slow release of growth factors that eventually helps with faster tissue healing.

Laser Wellness PRP/PRF clinics offer both PRP and PRF treatments for hair regrowth, skin rejuvenation. The treatments offered are:

  • Hair Loss
  • Skin Rejuvenation
  • Scars from acne
  • Uneven skin texture
  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Loose, sagging skin
  • Stretch marks
  • UV damage

“PRF treatment also assures longer lasting results compared to that of PRP. On an average, a set of 3 treatments, taken after a gap of 3-6 weeks, would be adequate.”
