BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – February 16, 2023 – To celebrate the art of magic, a popular local Michigan chapter of the International Brotherhood of Magicians (IBM) known as the Neil Foster Ring 89 today proudly announced its upcoming 51st Michigan Magic Day. The event is taking place on April 1 at the American Museum of Magic in Marshall, Michigan.
Award-winning magicians from Michigan and around the country will join headliner Jeff McBride for the magical extravaganza. This will be the first Michigan Magic Day since 2019, and is open to the community. The highly anticipated Saturday Night Showcase is not to be missed.
Michigan Magic Day is open to established and budding magicians. Everyone is welcome to participate, enjoy the day, and help celebrate the 45th season of the American Museum of Magic. IBM organizers are offering seminars and special museum tours for its magicians and are excited to invite the public to join its magicians for many exciting events.
The festivities include many interactive shows, and live musicians are joining the magic shows this year. There will be special opportunities for young magicians to show off their skills. Magicians-in-training will have a chance to perform for professional magician judges. For those interested in the history of magic, the American Museum of Magic will hold special performances, historical tours, and workshops.
“Magicians from Michigan and surrounding states will mix, mentor and mystify anyone curious about this thousands-year-old art form,” said co-organizers Susan Moerdyk and John Capman from the IBM Ring 89. “People of all ages and skills can learn about performance magic, including sleight-of-hand, illusions, mentalism, and many more aspects of the art of magic.”
