College Park, Georgia – February 4, 2020 – Tayo Reed’s Performing Arts Academy, is an Independent Educational PreK through 12th grade, Day School and Homeschool Study Program in Atlanta, Georgia and College Park, Georgia, that specializes in the arts, offering seven courses of study, becoming the pioneers of preschool throughout elementary, in Dance, Music, Musical Theatre, Theater, Visual Arts, or writing, film & media arts, the first of its kind in the Georgia’s Global City of College Park, Georgia.
“The Private School will have additional subjects for primary and elementary students. In addition to the basic state requirement subjects, we have added agriculture, economics, entrepreneurship business management, and public speaking,” said Dr. Tayo Reed. “The gifted and talented students are challenged, and since the curriculum of highly personalized, when students need remedial instruction, our staff is capable of addressing that need. We have also incorporated alternative education, web-based teaching resources for subjects in sciences, math, and language arts, and during summer months’ conduct performing arts intensive camps to encourage students to push beyond their limits.”
“Technology is continuously changing and growing, and we aim to encourage our students to evolve alongside it. To support this goal, we teach all our students even in Prek how to type. We integrate tablets, iPads, and computers with our curriculum in every grade level. We foster an atmosphere that promotes a desire to learn and excel,” said Dr. Tayo Reed. She says further, “Our class size is small, ten students or less, and is very conducive to monitoring each student’s progress and providing the necessary guidance for steady advancement.”
College Park, Georgia, two historical events took place in January 2020. The 1st Black Female Mayor Bianca Motley Broom was sworn in, who is deeply committed as Dr. Tayo Reed to building the community, improving education, and creating more opportunities for resident engagement and collaboration.
The Award-Winning Tayo Reed’s Performing Arts Center and Academy Ribbon Cutting was the second event accompanied by Councilman Ken Allen Ward lll, Councilman Tracey Wyatt IV, Director of Economic Development Arie Jones III, Economic Development Program Manager Tasha Hall Garrison, and Main Street Manager Renee Coakley. Celebrating 25 years in business, Grammy-nominated students this past weekend January 26, 2020, and kicking off the expansion of the vision and the new trailblazing school of art term starting this fall Monday, August 10, 2020, to May 2021.
Tayo Reed’s Performing Arts Academy awards free scholarships from partial to full tuition to underprivileged and deprived families in Fulton County and Clayton County. The opportunity to attend an accredited and affordable to no cost high quality Performing Arts PreK and Elementary School will be during our Open House Tours for families beginning in February through April 2020.
Teaching arts education and cultivating the skills in classes daily during school hours as a part of the accelerated curriculum, is the most effective way children become exceptional and proficient earlier in their stage of development. Parents with children who have a serious interest in the performing arts, beyond recreational arts classes, will benefit more from Tayo Reed’s Performing Arts Academy and Center with professional technical and intensive training beginning with HeadStart.
Our focused mission and sole purpose are being accessible in the community, with necessary programs the working parents need; onsite homeschool coaches, before school, after school enrichment, early head start, PreK, summer camp, and school breaks recommendations.
