St. Cloud, MN – Emergency Medicine Core Training (EMCT), an educational program designed to help providers improve their practice of emergency medicine, has spearheaded a must-have learning and continuing education tool for physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners. EMCT’s tools are being used to improve emergency medical care in rural America, and the program’s robust supplemental online emergency medical training is actively meeting the goals outlined in the first pillar of the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) Rural Emergency Care Task Force’s plan for enhanced patient care and safety. The unique scenario-based learning of the, “Work-up, Diagnosis, and Management” section brings subscribers to the bedside of hundreds of patient encounters, often with actual video of the encounter, in order to enhance the learning process. “Pop-up cards” assist users along the way as they learn an evidence-based approach to caring for the broad range of patients that seek treatment in the emergency room.
