Meghan Walsh is a recording artist and songwriter from Cleveland, Ohio, US, currently working as a staff reporter at the Cleveland Jewish Publication Company. She was born in Parma, Cleveland, on the 9th of February, 1997. She graduated from Trinity High School in Garfield Heights in 2015 and received a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Journalism and Promotional Communication from Cleveland State University in 2020. She first gained exposure as a singer when she performed ‘The Star-Sprangled Banner’, the National Anthem of the USA, at a Cleveland Guardians (then – Cleveland Indians) game in August of 2012, at the age of 15. That same year, she wrote and recorded her first single, “If You Stick Around”, produced by her cousin, Jim Stewart, who has worked with renowned groups such as the Welshly Arms. “If You Stick Around” was released in October 2014.
In March of 2017, Walsh began working with Spotlight 87 Entertainment, co-owned by seven times Grammy-winning music producer Brian Vibberts, who also mixed and mastered three of her latest singles – “Alibi”, “Venom”, and “Unspoken”. Megan participated in the “Opening Act” competition to appear at Audacy’s “We Can Survive Concert”, where she reached the ‘Final 4’ stage of the competition.
Walsh has had a long-standing friendship with the North East Ohio Down Syndrome Association, where she has been the headlining performer at two of their annual events, ‘The Buddy Walk’ and ‘The Sunburst Gala’, each year since 2019. Walsh has grown exceptional followings on Instagram, Facebook and TikTok, with more than 5 million views. Currently, she is working on her next single, “Romeo and Juliet”, with the release date yet to be announced.
Walsh graduated in 2020, from Cleveland State University, with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Journalism and Promotional Communication and a Bachelor of Arts degree in General Communication Studies. She began her work as a reporter at The Chagrin Valley Times in September of 2021. In February 2022, she joined her currently employed position as a staff reporter at the Cleveland Jewish News, Columbus Jewish News, Akron Jewish News, JStyle Magazine and Canvas Magazine, all under the banner of Cleveland Jewish Publication Company.
