Dubai Fishing Competition 2023 Heat 2 Dates announced by Dubai International Marine Club

Gear up for an exciting round 2 of the Dubai Fishing Competition held by Dubai International Marine Club. Dates for the Heat 2 competition have been announced for this year. The event will be held on 27th April 2023, following the 29th Edition of the Dubai International Boat Show that is scheduled from 1st – 5th of March 2023.

The 2022 edition of this event attracted visitors from all over the globe and was a major success. DFC (Dubai Fishing Competition) is held every year to encourage fishing enthusiasts in the region to showcase their skills and win exciting prize money.

Last year’s winners took home a total of AED 135,000 with the runner ups winning a total of AED 35,000. We are expecting a greater prize money for the 2023 edition and are looking forward to the participation of more new participants. 

The competition structure followed last year included two categories, Cobia and Kingfish. The first 10 winning participants in the Kingfish category win a total of AED 135,000. Subsequently, the first 3 winning participants of the Cobia category will win a total of AED 35,000. The total prize money for the event amounted to AED 170,000. 

A total of 70 participants took part in DFC Heat -2 2022, collecting a total of 16 fishes including the Kingfish and Cobia. The fishes collected weighed a total of 428 kgs. All of the proceeds from the event were donated to various charitable institutes. 

Spectators can view this event from multiple different locations within DIMC. In fact the demand for Dubai yacht rental increased during the period, allowing people to view this thrilling event from the comfort of a luxury yacht. Hence, the popularity of the Dubai Fishing Competition has spread across the world, encouraging more visitors to attend the event.
